● Tori Meskin MSN RNC-NIC (@nurse.tori_) is a Registered Nurse specializing in NICU care.
● She has worked bedside since 2013 in Children’s Hospitals, University Hospitals, Teaching Hospitals, and Level I Trauma Centers etc.
● Tori graduated from The University of Arizona (#beardown) with a dual major in Nursing & Child Development and obtained her MSN in Nursing Leadership. She is also RNC-NIC certified.
● As a bedside nurse, she is trained to work in specialized areas: Small Baby Unit, Body Cooling, & Surgical NICU (Cardiothoracic, Gastrointestinal, Neurosurgical, & Congenital anomalies,
etc.)
● Tia is a NICU Transport Nurse and Assistant Nurse Manager with 10 years of nursing experience under her belt, 8 of those at her region’s Level IV NICU.
● She earned her RNC-NIC certification in 2020 and is passionate about educating new nurses, graduating with her Masters in Nursing Education in 2022
● As a transfer to the NICU world, Tia has the unique perspective of someone who didn’t start as a new grad. But she can successfully say she no longer has any desire to
work with "big people."
● Dr. Prem Fort is a neonatologist and has been in practice for over 17 years.
● Born in Lima, Peru, Dr. Prem started out at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano
Heredia and then came to the U.S, where he went through many years of schooling that
began at Durham Technical Community College, the University of North Carolina,
Duke Medical Center, and culminated at the University of Alabama and Children's
of Alabama Hospital.
● Dr. Prem currently works for a level IV NICU in a highly recognized academic
institution.
● Amanda has been a NICU nurse since 2009 and loves everything about
neonatal nursing.
● Sam graduated with her BSN in 2011 and started a new graduate RN Residency program at a Level IV NICU.
● Sam completed her MSN in Leadership in 2016 and began teaching nursing school at local Universities.
● After 7 years in the NICU, Sam became an Emergency Flight/Transport nurse, an absolute dream job
● Gabriel (@nicu_nurse_gabriel) graduated with his B.S. in Biology in 2019 and then graduated with his Masters of Nursing from the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University in 2021. Gabriel will be attending Rush University to earn his DNP-CNS (neonatal).
● Gabriel is a member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN), the Academy of Neonatal Nursing (ANN), and Sigma Theta Tau international nursing honors society. He is also a volunteer with the National Certification Corporation (NCC) and the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN).
● Gabriel has experience in both Level III and Level IV NICUs, and is a certified NRP instructor.
