Co-Founder

● Tori Meskin MSN RNC-NIC (@nurse.tori_) is a Registered Nurse specializing in NICU care.

● She has worked bedside since 2013 in Children’s Hospitals, University Hospitals, Teaching Hospitals, and Level I Trauma Centers etc.

● Tori graduated from The University of Arizona (#beardown) with a dual major in Nursing & Child Development and obtained her MSN in Nursing Leadership. She is also RNC-NIC certified.

● As a bedside nurse, she is trained to work in specialized areas: Small Baby Unit, Body Cooling, & Surgical NICU (Cardiothoracic, Gastrointestinal, Neurosurgical, & Congenital anomalies, etc.)

● She has presented as a keynote speaker for NANN as well as a panel contributor for NeoHeart and other NICU national associations.


● Since 2018, Tori has grown her online platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Blog, and more recently, YouTube) to develop a vibrant community full of support and education. There, she provides a relatable shift worker big sister perspective, sharing her nurse shift lifestyle, NICU nurse journey, and inspiration.

● Recognizing a gap in NICU nurse support, she sought to develop a team to help build (what is now) NICUity! A brand dedicated to the empowerment and growth of our modern-day NICU providers.

● Tori Meskin MSN RNC-NIC (@nurse.tori_) is a Registered Nurse specializing in NICU care.

● She has worked bedside since 2013 specializing in neonatal and pediatric critical care.

● Tori graduated from The University of Arizona (#beardown) with a dual major in Nursing and Psychology.

● As a bedside nurse she has worked for Children’s Hospitals and University Hospitals in Level IV NICU, Trauma I centers, and consulting centers. She is trained to work in specialized areas; Small Baby Unit, Body Cooling Team, & Surgical NICU (Cardiothoracic, Gastrointestinal, Neurosurgical, & Congenital anomalies etc.)

● Tori has grown her platforms to develop a community full of support, education, and provides a shiftworker big sister personal sharing her nurse shift lifestyle, nicu nurse journey, nurse tips, and little life hacks.

Tia Miller

Tia Miller

MS, RNC-NIC

Co-Founder

MS RNC-NIC (Nurse Co-Founder) MS + Transport RN + Assistant Manager

● Tia is a NICU Transport Nurse and Assistant Nurse Manager with 11 years of nursing experience under her belt, 9 of those at her region’s Level IV NICU.

● She earned her RNC-NIC certification in 2020 and is passionate about educating new nurses, graduating with her Masters in Nursing Education in 2022.

● As a transfer to the NICU world, Tia has the unique perspective of someone who didn’t start as a new grad. But she can successfully say she no longer has any desire to work with "big people."

● She has received extensive training in caring for micropreemies, infants requiring surgery, the PPHN and ECMO population, as well as attending high risk deliveries and ground transports.

● When she isn’t working bedside she finds joy in leading educational classes for her fellow nurses.

● Tia is the woman behind @thatnursetia, an account dedicated to NICU education, humor, and sharing the reality of life as a healthcare worker.

● She prides herself on the relationships she develops with not only other nurses in her community, but the parents that find her as well.

● Tia is a NICU Transport Nurse and Assistant Nurse Manager with 10 years of nursing experience under her belt, 8 of those at her region’s Level IV NICU.

● She earned her RNC-NIC certification in 2020 and is passionate about educating new nurses, graduating with her Masters in Nursing Education in 2022.

Dr. Prem Fort

Neonatologist

● Dr. Prem Fort is a neonatologist and has been in practice for 17 years.

● Born in Lima, Peru, Dr. Prem started out at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and then came to the U.S, where he went through many years of schooling that began at Durham Technical Community College, the University of North Carolina, Duke Medical Center, and culminated at the University of Alabama and Children's of Alabama Hospital.

● Dr. Prem currently works for a level IV NICU in a highly recognized academic institution. 

● Dr. Prem is the man behind the social media persona,

The NICU Doc, helping families and healthcare staff better to understand the intimidating and scary environment of the NICU.

● Dr Prem hopes his platforms & now NICUity can help educate and empower those that have or work with babies, because ultimately, we ALL want the BEST for our

BABIES!

● Sam (@heysamanthaa) graduated with her BSN in 2011 and started a new graduate RN Residency program at a Level IV NICU.

● Sam completed her MSN in Leadership in 2016 and began teaching nursing school at local Universities.

● After 7 years in the NICU, Sam became an Emergency Flight/Transport nurse, an absolute dream job.

Amanda Williams

CSN, ACCNS-N, RNC-NIC, C-ELBW, C-NNIC (Nurse Contributor + CNS)

● Amanda has been a NICU nurse since 2009 and loves everything about neonatal nursing.

She currently works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in a Level IV NICU in Los Angeles.

● Amanda is a fellow business owner of Amanda's NICU Ed where you can find more resources, blogs, and courses to support you in your nursing journey.

Gabriel Hutson

MN, RN, C-ELBW, C-NNIC, RNC-NIC

● Gabriel (@nicu_nurse_gabriel) graduated with his B.S. in Biology in 2019 and then graduated with his Masters of Nursing from the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University in 2021. Gabriel will be attending Rush University to earn his DNP-CNS (neonatal).

● Gabriel is a member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN), the Academy of Neonatal Nursing (ANN), and Sigma Theta Tau international nursing honors society. He is also a volunteer with the National Certification Corporation (NCC) and the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN).

● Gabriel has experience in both Level III and Level IV NICUs, and is a certified NRP instructor.

● Gabriel believes that the quality of time you’ve been a nurse can be just as impactful as the quantity of time you’ve been a nurse.

Abby Bock

Director of Operations & Marketing Manager

● Abby graduated with her BS in Marketing and Advertising and started her career as a social media strategist specializing in medical marketing.

● Abby began working with Tori Meskin last year as her Assistant / Media Manager.

● Abby currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona and was thrilled to join the NICUity team to lead all things marketing, design, and website development.
